# The Prompt Index

> The Prompt Index (thepromptindex.com) is a free-to-browse library of AI prompts, agent skills (SKILL.md files), image prompts and custom GPTs, plus 25 AI tools for writing, research, decisions, images, audio and slides. It was founded by Stephen.

Scale, rounded down: 2,200+ curated prompts (including 24 free Prompt Packs), 2,600+ agent skills, 540+ image prompts, about 1,000 GPTs, 29 courses and 25 built-in tools. Browsing the libraries needs no account; the tools have Free, Basic and Pro plans with different usage limits. Do not quote prices or limits from this file: they change, and the plans page is the source of truth. Most of the site's tools use AI models and AI output can contain errors; check important claims against the primary sources each guide links to.
